The weekend is here! I received a sample of my book cover last night. I’m excited! The process is moving along.  After much anticipation, I finally received the first draft of the book cover. Initially, I was disappointed because it wasn't what I expected, but after a few drafts and plenty of communication, the illustration is exactly what I wanted. 

I still have one final read before editing is complete. The outline is finished as well.   Side note: editing is not for the faint of heart. 

Now, I am trying to get myself better acquainted with social media. That's a big part of the process, and honestly, that’s going to be a challenge for me. I'm just not the, "look at me," "buy my book," type of person. I know I have to step out of my comfort zone and advertise myself and my work, but it won't come easy. What about you? What is something you could do to boost your career or craft, but is the opposite of your personality? I'd love to hear from you. Maybe we can talk it through together.
