Just One Of Those Days

Do you ever have one of those days where nothing seems to go right? How do you usually handle them? I prefer to think of myself as having a mixed batch of “bad day” solutions. Sometimes, I’m the ultimate adult, and I try to see the bright side of things with the understanding. Other days, I’m a five-year-old and. The latter of course only makes me feel worse and is usually an instant regret.

Bad days are like head colds or wayward relatives. You never know when they will show up, but when they do, it’s usually all bad. Life is a series of peaks and valleys where sometimes everything is all good, and the angels are smiling down on everything and blessing our every step. Other days, it seems like the universe is conspiring against our happiness and even the birds hate us.

Hang in there.

Always remember to keep moving forward and eventually you will outpace the bad days. Trust me. It may not seem like it, but keep pressing and the trying time will ultimately come to an end. Try to do something nice for someone else. That’s sure to put you in a better place. The fact that you are having a crummy day doesn’t mean everyone around you has to suffer as well. Besides, spreading kindness is infectious, and it may make you happy in the process. Don’t wallow or dwell.

If you must vent to someone, however, do it in a way that doesn’t put your confidant off. I like to laud myself as a decent listener, but everyone has their limits. Don’t overburden your listener with everything that has upset you since grade school. Be considerate and level your grievance to your current issue only.

Remember to keep your head up and smile through the rough times if you can. Other quick fixes include exercise, going into a room alone and screaming at the top of your lungs, chocolate, a massage, and wine.

Have a great day!
