I Am On Vacation
Hi family!
I’m in Montego Bay this week, on vacation.
Yesterday, I was connected to the Wi-Fi network of our tour driver, and the password was WHATEVERYOUNEEDBABES. No kidding. And I’m here for it.
My family and I have embarked on a few excursions and tried our hand in some of the local favorites—Bammy, Festival, and everything Jerk. It’s been excellent, and I wouldn’t trade this time for anything. It doesn’t mean life isn’t waiting for me back home. It means I’m taking time now to enjoy today.
The nomenclatures differ—downtime, chilling out, vacation, relaxing. Whatever you call it, it feels good to my soul that my current obligations include enjoying my family and writing.
We have to remember in this busy world of calendar hits, scheduled playtimes, board meetings, and errands to make time for the things that matter. The things that really matter.
So as I sit here in Montego Bay, enjoying the warm weather and trying my best to wrap up book number three, I’m mindful of a few things:
Tomorrow is not promised. Live for today.
Don’t forget to write.
Make amends. You know where and with whom. Do it.
Be thankful for every little thing.
Write on,
Tamika
