This Is Your Year!

Goals are a great way to start your writing journey but can also be intimidating. If you're feeling stuck and wondering how to achieve your writing goals, don't worry! I've got you covered.

Step 1: Make a list of everything you want to accomplish this year

This is the fun part. Write down everything that comes to mind, no matter how wild or crazy it might seem. Don't hold back! If you want to write a novel about an alien invasion in space, write it down! Once you've got your list, go back through and pick out the most attainable goals for this year and put them on top.

Step 2: Start small

When starting with your writing goals, it's best to focus on one thing at a time. Pick out one goal that seems manageable at first glance and give yourself some time to learn how to make it happen before moving on to another goal. You'll be surprised by how much progress you make when you focus on one thing at a time instead of trying to do everything at once!

Step 3: You've got the power and can use it to accomplish everything you desire.

This year, go after your dreams. Don't let anyone tell you that your goals are too lofty or not worth the effort. You know better than anyone else what your heart desires, and if you don't get there this year, when will you?

So put on your big girl pants (or boy pants) and start making some changes in your life right now because if there's one thing I know for sure about myself (and maybe even more importantly… about YOU), it's this: YOU CAN!

There is no time like the present! And this is your year.
